Overview

The Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Policy Lab features articles and resources underlining the value of achieving sustainable health outcomes by providing affordable and equal access to health care for all. Resources include information on international policies, health systems strengthening, financing issues, and case studies of existing universal health care systems. The purpose of the UHC lab is to highlight alliances, and to provide tools for stakeholders working in UHC.

Underscoring the UN Declaration of Human Rights’ assertion that “everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family,” the Pacific Health Summit seeks to contribute to the global aim of universal health coverage by convening action oriented meetings on targeted issues in UHC. At the 2010 and 2011 Summits, key leaders were assembled in targeted workshops to examine the beneficial role UHC has to play in issues of maternal and newborn health, and immunization.
